Color pencils on a 6x6" wood panel

This is my participation for the Art Block for Ghana,
a beautiful project from which all funds will help build a school/house for orphaned children in Ghana, West Africa.
The theme was "home".
This represents my sister and I when we were little hiding underneath the table during tea time.
I've been really inspired by the impressionism movement lately and a certain nostalgia of the 19th Century
(reading many wonderful novels from that period).
I didn't planned to do something so personal for this project...
And I feel a bit sad now to let it go to auction... But who knows, my mom may want to buy it in the end?!
